Arturo Escobar

Arturo Escobar is a Colombian-American anthropologist best known for his work on post-development theory. He is currently Kenan Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His most famous work is Encountering Development: The Making and Unmaking of the Third World (1995).
