Character Builds

NOTE: These character builds are meant for the end game of your first playthrough and for your Nightmare playthrough. Starting your Nightmare playthrough with these builds should make this difficulty easier to manage.The preparations are going to be done on your first playthrough and it will require you to be on the last chapter since that is the only time you can create most of the quartz listed which will power up your characters a lot. Take note that these are not the optimal builds or the best builds out there but you can make a few modifications for these setups to come up with your own. You can also use these setup for the other characters that are not listed but with a few modifications also since they have different orbment slot setups.

Gaius Setup

Gaius' build is just straight up meant to be used for delaying enemies and even bosses. His S-Craft True Howling Heavens has an absolute delay +12 effect which will delay an enemy regardless of their resistance. Quartz can be changed depending on you whether you want to build him as an evasive tank or just a tank but this build has Gaius as an evasive tank in mind.After using his S-Craft, you can regenerate his CP with his True Golden Howl Craft and pair it up with the accessories listed, he will have over 100 CP right away and is able to use another S-Craft to delay enemies. No need to worry about his HP going so low, he should have almost 50% evasion anyway and buff him up with Insight, that's almost 100% evasion. If he is ever hit or his True Golden Howl Craft kills him, the Sophia master quartz is there to keep him alive and it also recovers CP making his S-Craft available again for another usage.

Altina/Musse/Emma/Elliot Setup

The setup for these 4 is meant for instant casting or quick casting. The master quartz Deva and Virgo has an ability that reduces the turn delay by half, cutting the turn delay a lot. Pandora and Magius doesn't have that ability though but you'll just have to go with Bells to gain that ability. The accessory Quick Caliber V has an ability of reducing the casting time by 33%, pair it up with the quartz Cast 3 and Diabolos Gem and that's like a 100% cast time reduction. You can only get 1 Quick Caliber V in 1 playthrough so choose your best caster.Now all you need to do is cast Chrono Drive, and you will be insta-casting the low tier of attack arts (Soul Blur, Aqua Bleed, Crystal Edge and Silver Thorn). The other casters who does not have a 100% cast time reduction won't be able to instantly cast arts but they can still cast arts with very little delay. It is recommended to use the low tier attack arts specially for boss battles since their delay is very low. All of these master quartz has a high percentage of doing a critical damage for arts and when paired up with a Gungnir master quartz as their sub, you should be seeing them dealing 5 digits of damage most of the time except if the opponent they are facing are resistant to that element. Having Elliot as a Linked Partner will have Elliot using his Link Ability Arts Support 2 which will further increase the damage output of their Linked Partner.

Alisa Setup

Alisa's setup is mainly meant for using her Craft Heavenly Gift which grants 25 CP and Insight to its targets. She also has access different elements which can also be a good support mage.  Pair her up with evasive tank build characters and they will have an infinite CP pool and won't ever get hit. Alisa can recharge her CP with her master quartz Erda and also by using attack arts. For her accessories, just give her something that protects her from ailments and also something that gives her SPD.

Fie/Sara Setup

The setup for these two is meant for taking on the frontline. Both of them should have over 50% evasion rate with these setup. While Fie can dodge anything in her way easily, if you need to refill your BP, she can just go into stealth with her Concealing Wind Craft and deal critical damage all the time. Sara on the other hand can also dodge anything in her way specially when she uses her True Lightning Charge Craft which grants Insight. You can pair these two with Alisa and they'll both have Insight all the time without wasting their turn to do a self-buff.

Rean/Crow All-Around Duo Setup

With the setup listed above, these two can either be an evasive tank, mob destroyer or instant casting duo. Rean has access to accessories that are given to him as a reward for getting a max bond for a character and those accessories are exclusive to him. Some of those accessories makes him a good instant caster (accessories from Emma and Elliot) or an evasive tank (accessories from Fie, Towa and Gaius).Crow can also be a good evasive tank with a similar setup from Fie and Sara or a good quick caster with a similar setup from the Altina/Musse/Emma/Elliot builds. Pair up those builds with his self-buff Azure Destiny Craft which grants Insight, STR/ATS/SPD up and you have another all around character to play around with.

A0 is the highest special ops rank you can achieve in the game. In order to get this rank, you will need to reach at least 310 AP out of 336 AP. AP is awarded by completing quests and successfully completing a battle requirement.You should be able to unlock this trophy on the last chapter Finale: Scattered Petals, Dying Flames by reporting the quest via the terminal on the bridge, reporting through your ARCUS II or by speaking to the captain on the bridge and choosing the option Wait for the operation to start.The table below shows a checklist of the tasks that raises your Special Ops Rank arranged in chronological order.

Unbreakable is the highest Unity Grade you can achieve in the game. In order to get this Unity Grade, you will need to reach at least 425 Thors Unity. Thors Unity is awarded through various activities like completing certain quests, reporting various notes, viewing hot spring events, bath events, scenic photos and completing certain battle events.You should be able to unlock this trophy on the last chapter Finale: Scattered Petals, Dying Flames by reporting the quest via the terminal on the bridge, reporting through your ARCUS II or by speaking to the captain on the bridge and choosing the option Wait for the operation to start.

This trophy will be unlocked after completing the game on Nightmare difficulty which is the hardest difficulty for the game. While this difficulty is available right from the start, it is recommended to save it for your second playthrough since you will be doing two whole playthroughs anyway for the platinum trophy.

You can carry over your progress from your first playthrough if you select all the carry overs listed when starting your new game+ run. Don't forget to select also the bonuses specially the Max Bonding Points because your second playthrough will focus on both the nightmare difficulty and the bonding trophies that have missed on your first playthrough.

There are 48 Quests that you need to complete in one playthrough in order to unlock this trophy. Quests are divided between Required and Optional quests. Required Quests are quests that you need to complete in order to advance the story while Optional Quests functions like your regular side quests. You will need to do both types in order to unlock this trophy.You should be able to unlock this trophy on the last chapter Finale: Scattered Petals, Dying Flames after completing the last quest on the list.

There are 358 treasure chests that you need to open in one playthrough in order to unlock the trophy. The treasure chests that you need to open does not include the treasure chests that are in the Prologue. The trial chests are also not included for this trophy.Early on in the game, you'll get the chance to create the Moon Lens quartz which will give you the ability to see all the treasure chests in the map which should make keeping track of this trophy quite manageable.

Most of the areas can be revisited later on in the game before the point of no return but you need to take care of the treasure chests on the following locations since these locations are only visited once.

You'll do this by using the Detector Crafts by a select party members or by using the item Battle Scope in order to complete the enemy's battle note. This does not include the enemies listed on the EXTRA tab so there's no need to scan them. You need to make it a habit that whenever you to a new area and encounter a new enemy, make sure to scan them immediately. Divine Knight battles only need you to attack a weakness once to register them on the notebook.

This trophy will be unlocked after scanning the last enemies in the True Ending.

The minigame Vantage Masters is back for another trophy that you need to unlock for that platinum. There are also new cards this time around for you to collect. There are 48 Cards that you need to collect in order to unlock this trophy.

Most of the cards that you need to collect are obtained after defeating certain opponents. The list below shows the locations of the opponents that you'll be facing and where they will be available to face with for the first time. As the story advances, they will relocate to another place but you can still challenge them.

Take note that in order for you to face Victor, you will need to collect all the other cards first before you can face him and get that last card on the list. If you happen to miss an opponent which gives a card, visit Jingo and hopefully the card that you missed is available on her shop. Beating Victor will also reward you a Woden Master Quartz.
