non EU citizen resident in Italy

If you are a NON EU CITIZEN  resident in Italy (i.e. not subject to visa) you can enroll directly in an Italian university  
Enrollment a. y. 2021-22 15 July - 5 November 2021

1) if you are legally resident in Italy and you have an Italian High School Diploma (Diploma di maturità)
2) if you  have a residence permit for

  1. EU long-term residents (formerly residence card)
  2. valid residence permit for work,
  3. family reunion,
  4. asylum

VERY IMPORTANT

  • Diplomas awarded  by a private or International school operating in Italy or abroad could  be subjected to a control for the  recognition of qualification

To be eligible for enrollment you  must have:

For Bachelor Degree- Laurea  (1st cycle Degree ) and ONE-TIER MASTER DEGREE - Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico(Single cycle Degree)

  • High-school diploma) that satisfies the requirements for access to university education, i.e. conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education
  • Certificate of academic eligibility if required by you home country  (ex. for Chinese students GAOKAO certificate,for Greek students VEVEOSI PROSVASIS)
  • Diplomas issued under the American and British Educational system are evaluated on the basis of min. 3 APs .
  • IB (International Baccalaureate) :  to be accepted it must state at 12 years of education, and a min. of 26 points.

In order to finalize your enrollment, you must submit to the Student Registry the ORIGINALS of the following documents.
Failure to present even one of the required documents can lead to rejection of your enrollment.

  • Document of identity (ID or passport)
  • The original High -school diploma and its legal translation with the official stamps of the Italian diplomatic authority (Embassy or Consulate) or with Apostille stamp (if applicable), and officially translated into Italian;
  • “Dichiarazione di valore” document (Declaration of Validity) issued by the Italian diplomatic authority in the country where the diploma was awarded, in which it is specified that the Diploma  has been conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education and valid for academic eligibility. 
    In alternative the High-school diploma can be accompanied  by
    Statements of comparability and verification of qualifications, a certification issued by CIMEA or by an ENIC-NARIC centre.
  • It is important to note that you will receive a username and password for all UNICAM services upon your arrival, but that your username will only be activated by the Student Registry when your enrollment process has been finalised

 

For Master  Degree- Laurea Magistrale (2nd cycle Degree )

  • Bachelor Degree that satisfies the requirements for access to University Master Degree courses
  • List of subjects studied (transcript of records with grades obtained)
  • Course Syllabus outlines (i.e. exam programs)  or Diploma Supplement in Italian or English

In order to finalize your enrollment, you must submit to the Student Registry the ORIGINALS of the following documents.
Failure to present even one of the required documents can lead to rejection of your enrollment.

  • Document of identity (ID or passport)
  • the original Bachelor Degree, translated into Italian with the official stamps by the Italian diplomatic authority (Embassy or Consulate)
  • the original list of subjects studied (transcript of records with grades obtained) translated and validated with the official stamps by the Italian diplomatic authority (Embassy or Consulate)
  •  “Dichiarazione di valore” document (Declaration of Validity).issued by the Italian diplomatic authority in the country where the degree was awarded, in which it is specified that the High-School Diploma has been conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education and that the Bachelor Degree  satisfies the requirements for access to Master Degree courses in Italian universities.
    In alternative the BSc diploma can be accompanied  by
    Statements of comparability, qualifications and verification certification issued by official foreign institutions, by CIMEA or by an ENIC-NARIC centre.
  • Course Syllabus outlines (i.e. exam programs)  or Diploma Supplement in Italian or English.
  •  It is important to note that you will receive a username and password for all UNICAM services upon your arrival, but that your username will only be activated by the Student Registry when your enrollment process has been finalised

 

IMPORTANT

For courses taught in English. International students should produce an International English Language Certificate preferably at level B2 (Independent User) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching.

For courses taught in Italian. Before matriculation, International students must prove their proficiency in Italian at level B2 by international certification or by exam  (usually held at UNICAM in September).
