I'm sorry but with all due respect to suggest that he's responsible for the country being taken over by the Taliban when things were clearly heading in that direction anyway is just nonsense. That's just not a fair or accurate analysis of the situation at all.

If this is the worst you can come up with re Biden’s foreign policy then he’s doing great. There was was no better “way” to end the war and occupation of Afghanistan and France knew its deal was dead. Not remotely comparable to abandoning NATO and the EU.
-
I didn't say he had abandoned the EU or Nato. And I know that many of his foreign policies are popular domestically. Viewed from overseas it's all rather different

Trump agreed to the US leaving Afghanistan in May 2021. France throwing their toys out the pram is just France being French. But please, continue with your bad takes.
-
oh yyes I agree he was taking over Trump policy. He didn't need to set an arbitrary date though.

What way would not have resulted in the Taliban taking over? The Afghan army had 200,000 men armed and trained at the cost of over $2 trillion! They evaporated in less than 2 weeks. Getting out fast was the best way to save lives.

Perception is reality, but the devil is in the details. Good to be aware of how these actions look to US partners. Good for level heads to understand the nuances.
