    On 🇪🇺 stresses the crucial role of journalists & media workers risking their lives reporting on the 🇷🇺 aggression against 🇺🇦. Threats to free media are a threat to democracy & open societies. Safety of journalists both online & offline is a global priority.

    Free press allows for a democratic, stronger and inclusive society and is instrumental in the protection and promotion of human rights. The EU stands with journalists and media workers around the world and will continue to fight for press freedom.
