Six further resignations of Government ministers while the programme has been on air this morning… and there’s still 48 minutes left.

Enough is enough. This can’t go on. The chaos in No10, the breakdown of Cabinet collective responsibility, the abandonment of the Ministerial code, the defence of impropriety & defiance of Parliament are all insults to the Conservatism I believe in and stand for:

Does the PM’s refusal to resign mean the UK is in a β€˜constitutional crisis’? That’s a vague notion, but I think the answer is that it implies he’s willing to create one very soon. Another way of framing the question is: At what point *must* Boris Johnson resign? /1

Good morning everyone: Boris Johnson has now lost 50 ministers and aides. It’s highly unlikely he’ll be able to fill all those posts, plunging government into paralysis. He still refuses to resign and might lead Britain into a full blown constitutional crisis now.

The Conservatives spent 3 years forming a dictatorship and now they can't get the dictator out of No.10. Surprised anyone? #MajorDisaster

Once more for those at the back (and Tories in particular) JOHNSON IS A MEGALOMANIAC. He does not think like you or I - his mind might as well be alien. You thought you could control him, use him - that you knew & accepted his faults. You never knew at all. twitter.com/BethRigby/stat…

I agree with my friend (and political opponent) . She's originally from North Korea. And she gets it too, that Boris must go.

I voted @BorisJohnson in 2019 because that vote was civil rights to freedom. But now I say he should leave, the reason is that he has destroyed our political freedom. There is no political freedom for citizens who think and do not judge!

The senior former cabinet minister who told me on Tues night β€œhe’s finished” and said the PM had just β€œa few days” left, tells me this today: β€œThis is mad. He has lost his mind”

It has been a huge privilege and responsibility to serve as security minister. It shouldn’t take the resignation of dozens of colleagues, but for our country, and trust in our democracy, we must have a change of leadership. My letter to the PM:

A decent and responsible Government relies on honesty, integrity and mutual respect - it is a matter of profound personal regret that I must leave Government as I no longer believe those values are being upheld. I have submitted my letter of resignation to the Prime Minister.
