Roadmap

Stage 1: Optional: Play the Game on any Difficulty, Enjoy it!

Before focusing on the trophies, I would recommend simply enjoying this excellent game. It's recommended that you play on Hard difficulty (if you're new to the series, Moderate difficulty might be more suitable) so that the transition to your Crushing playthrough isn't as jarring. No trophies are truly missable as you can go back and get chapter-specific trophies via Chapter Select (see Tips & Strategies for more information).

It should be noted that you can start on Crushing difficulty if you'd like to. This doesn't look to be the case as the "Crushing" option is greyed out on the menu, but if you select it, the game will ask you "Are you sure?". Press "Yes" and you'll then be able to play on Crushing difficulty right from the get-go.
This isn't recommended however as Game Play Modifiers can only be used on subsequent playthroughs, which will make your Crushing playthrough much easier.

Stage 2: Multiplayer Trophies

Before we jump back to the singleplayer, quickly go online and get the multiplayer trophies. It will only take between 1 and 2 hours to get all five trophies. As with past Uncharted games, all multiplayer trophies are very simple to get and very self-explanatory.
Complete the Uncharted Multiplayer Introduction
Complete 5 matches in Multiplayer
Complete all trials on Moderate (difficulty) in Multiplayer
Spawn 10 Sidekicks in Multiplayer
Revive 10 Allies in Multiplayer

Stage 3: Complete the Crushing Playthrough and get all Collectables

Now to do the playthrough on Crushing difficulty. While this is a bit difficult, the key is to always be in cover when in a gunfight. If this isn't your first playthrough, then you'll be able to enable Game Play Modifiers that will make this task much easier, and won't disable trophies either. See Tips & Strategies for more information.
It's also recommended that you get all the collectables (see Silver Treasure Master to know where to find them) during this playthrough.
You can also go for Bronze Sharpshooter during this playthrough quite easily if you have the lock-on aim Game Play Modifier enabled.

Stage 4: Speedrun the game while shooting with accuracy

Now it's time for a quick playthrough through this game that you need to be complete in under six hours (Silver Charted! - Speedrun) and, if you haven't already, with a shot accuracy of at least 70% (Bronze Sharpshooter).
These can both be done quite easily thanks to Game Play Modifiers and a nice glitch. See each trophy for more information on how to do this.
Complete the game in 6 hours or less
Complete game with 70% or higher shot accuracy

Stage 5: Get the remaining Miscellaneous and Kill-related Trophies

The only trophies you should now have left are miscellaneous and kill-related trophies, look at the ones you don't have to find out how to get them and the Platinum will be yours! Congrats!

Trophy Tips, Gameplay Strategies, and Legacy of Thieves PS5 Version

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has a different style of trophy list than past games in the franchise, this means that there are some particular tips and strategies you should keep in mind when playing.

Chapter-Specific Trophies

There are a number of trophies that are specific to certain chapters that you'd have to go back via chapter select just to get if you miss them, these trophies will be listed in order here so you can keep track of them during your playthrough.

Making The Game Easier

Though it's highly recommended that you not ruin your first playthrough of the game and not have any of the following things turned on, there are tricks you should know about that game that make it easier for cleaning up any trophies you're missing after finishing the story once. Note that game play modifiers and weapon select isn't selectable until finishing at least one playthrough, lock-on aim is available at any time as an accessibility option.
  • Lock-on Aim - Available right when you put the disc in is an accessibility option called Lock-on aim, you shouldn't use this on your first playthrough as it might water down the experience for you but it's definitely a must for when you're going for trophies like Bronze Sharpshooter, or if you're having trouble with Silver Charted! - Crushing for instance. You can also use it if you plan on doing Silver Charted! - Speedrun legitimately. You can enable this at any time in options under "Accessibility" and turning "Lock-on Aim" on.
  • Game Play Modifiers (cheats) - If you finish the game once, then you'll be able to use these. You'll be able to access these from the main menu by selecting "Extras", then "Bonus", "Add-Ons", then choose Game Play Modifiers. Enabling things like slow motion and infinite ammo make this playthrough ridiculously easy, and using these things don't disable trophies either.
  • Weapon Selection - Like the Game Play Modifiers, once you finish the story once you'll be able to choose any weapon to play with in game. Choose Extras, then Bonus, then Add-ons from the main menu, then choose "Weapons". If you get in a bind during a playthrough and think a particular weapon can help you out, this will help.

Playing the Legacy of Thieves PS5 Version

Released in 2022, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes remastered versions of A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy for the PS5. All strategies, including gameplay modifiers, should work in the PS5 version. The glitches discussed in the guide may work, but it is not a guarantee, so be prepared to do  Silver Charted! - Crushing and Silver Charted! - Speedrun legitimately.
Although the trophies themselves on PS5 are the same as their PS4 counterpart, the structure of the trophy list means that you must earn all trophies in both A Thief’s End (main list) and The Lost Legacy (‘DLC’ list) to earn the one Platinum Trophy available.

To see how to get all trophies for The Lost Legacy, refer to my PS4 trophy guide.

Autopopping PS5 Trophies

Much like Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding on PS5, you can load your local PS4 saves from A Thief’s End and therefore carry your progress over to the PS5 version. Therefore, if you have Platinumed the PS4 version, you can autopop the relevant trophies for the Legacy of Thieves trophy list.
However, doing this won't simply give you another Platinum. Not only do you still need to unlock The Lost Legacy trophies to unlock Platinum A Thief's Legacy, but you are unlikely to autopop all trophies related to A Thief’s End.
Per discussion on this forum, it seems to be that any trophies that you earned and did not save after (which would happen if you Restarted the Checkpoint, or use Chapter Select or Encounter Select) will not autopop because the PS4 saves you import are unaware that you ever unlocked them. Thankfully, this should mainly be miscellaneous and kill-related trophies (see Step 5 of the Roadmap), and not the hardest and most time-consuming trophies.

So, with all of this in mind, here are the steps to autopopping trophies in Legacy of Thieves:
  1. Ensure you have ALL your PS4 saves from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End stored locally on your PS5. You can do this by using PS Plus Cloud Storage
  2. Boot up Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
  3. Select Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  4. Select Story
  5. Select Import Game from PS4 console
  6. Import a save
  7. Trophies will start unlocking
  8. Repeat the process with every save that you have to ensure that you unlock as many trophies as possible

After finishing the game, the credits will roll, and the trophy will pop once the main menu is reached.

This will unlock once you finish the game on Crushing difficulty, the hardest difficulty in the game. As with Crushing difficulty for any Uncharted game, you'll want to stay behind cover and pop your head out when firing for a short amount of time. This game also has the added bonus of being able to stealth through many combat scenarios, drastically making those sections easier so long as you take your time. After finishing the game, the credits will roll, and the trophy will pop once the main menu is reached.

If you finish the game once, then you'll be able to use Game Play Modifiers (cheats). You'll be able to access these from the main menu by selecting "Extras", then "Bonus", "Add-Ons", then choose Game Play Modifiers. Enabling things like slow motion and infinite ammo make this playthrough ridiculously easy, and don't disable the trophy. If you do start to struggle, you also can select weapons to spawn with in that same bonus menu.

Note: This difficulty is actually available right from the start and you can play it on your first playthrough. This doesn't look to be the case because the "Crushing" option will be grayed out, but if you select it, the game will ask you "Are you sure?", press "Yes" and you'll then be able to start out on Crushing difficulty.

This is probably the 'hardest' trophy in the game if you go for it legitimately, but it's achievable. There's also a glitch that you can use, more information on that is below.

Doing The Trophy Legitimately

You don't want to go for this until you've finished the game at least once so you can unlock bonuses (See Tips & Strategies for more information). Get infinite ammo and the Barrok. 44 pistol from the main menu, as these will help you get through game fairly easily. Once done, start a new game on explorer difficulty and enable your new cheats once the game begins. You should also go for Bronze Sharpshooter as it will be easy to do thanks to aim assist on explorer difficulty. The trophy will unlock when the credits start rolling.

It's vital that you skip every single cutscene in the game as they add to your total time. Similarly, if you restart a checkpoint or encounter it will not reset the time, it will just keep counting. Pausing the game will stop the timer though.
If you want to check your time, you can see it under statistics. Your aim is to try to get to Chapter 10 in around two hours, if you do then you should definitely be able to get to the end by the six hour mark.
Rush through the game and encounters as fast as possible, and remember that a number of encounters don't require you to kill anyone to progress, you just need to pass them up and move on.
You can make separate save files as you progress as a fallback to avoid having to restart the playthrough if you mess up, simply load an older save and try again.

The Easy Way - Using the Glitch

Version 1.33 (Latest Patch)

More recently, there has been a method that many users have found success with. Best of all, you can do this on the latest version of the game, so it is easy for digital and physical copies to use this method! Thanks to venkataraman1607 for pointing this out, who also noted that Silver  Charted! - Crushing and Bronze Sharpshooter cannot be unlocked using this method.
Per NF7 on PlayStation Trophies, here are the steps:
1. Turn off your internet
2. Delete your Profile File from Uncharted 4's Saved Data on your console, but keep your previous save with which you completed the game.
3. Launch the game
4. Start a New Game - ensure that you RESET Treasures and Stats and create a new save
5. When the white writing appears after loading (before the boat sequence in the Prologue), press Options and manually save over the save you created in Step 4
6. Exit to the Main Menu
7. Load your Save Game that you finished the game with - it will load you to the middle of the Epilogue where you can skip the cinematic. Credits will start. No trophy, but do not worry
8. In the Credits press Options and load the save you created in Step 4. After loading, exit to Main Menu
9. Go to Bonus and Credits
10. Play Credits - Silver Charted! - Speedrun Pops.

Version 1.03 or Below (Launch Patch)

If you're interested in glitches, there's a way to get this trophy in just a few minutes by playing just the beginning and then the end of the game, the video below details this entire process. Note that this does not work for patch 1.04 and beyond, so you will have to reinstall the game if you have the physical copy and ensure that no updates are downloaded and installed. To pause an update for a game, go to the downloads section of your PS4 and highlight the update you want to pause and press Cross. Each time you launch the game you'll need to go and pause the update again.
It is also possible for the digital version of the game to be reverted to Version 1.00, refer to here for more information.

Remember to pay attention to the video and its audio, do everything it says exactly. It must be patch 1.03 or below, you must save on save file slot 2, something not mentioned in the video is you need to use a different difficulty than your last playthrough, when you save at Chapter 1 and then quit out to the menu, you need to overwrite the second save file slot you were just using for Chapter 1 with the data for the Epilogue, select the same difficulty you did with the Prologue as well.

Buggy: There are numerous reports of the number of treasures found being inaccurate in the game's statistics, even though they've collected everything. As of the beginning of 2022, this continues to be an issue for some players. Besides the unlikely chance that Naughty Dog patch it, your best bet is to reinstall the game and delete your saves and start with a blank slate (it is recommended that you back up your saves via the PS Plus Cloud or USB first as a precaution). During your playthrough, ensure you regularly check the statistics to see if the counter is functioning properly. If you discover it isn't that, then you can only restart and try again.

Getting 20 headshots from a rope is a fairly specific action and it's likely you won't get this trophy naturally. While you can do this in many places, the Drawbridge encounter in Chapter 10 is a good place to farm this trophy.

It may be a bit hard at first, but you'll get used to it and don't have to be swinging for it to count. Once you've shot a few, restart the checkpoint until you get the trophy. Make sure you don't have aim assist on so you can get the headshots.

Instead of doing that though, kill the onslaught of enemies as they will keep coming until you enter the car. Simply continue to gun them down until the trophy pops.

Sharpshooter

Rare
Bronze
The best way to get this trophy is by doing it is on any of your subsequent playthroughs as you'll be able to use that Game Play Modifiers that include lock-on aim, infinite ammo, and weapon select (See Tips & Strategies for more information on these things).

When playing the game, pause it and select "Bonus", then choose "Weapons" - now choose the Barok .44 and use that for the remainder of the game, as that (mixed with infinite ammo and lock-on aim) is usually a one shot kill for almost all enemies in the game. You should also go stealth as much as possible to avoid any chance of your accuracy falling.

You can check your shot accuracy by pausing the game, selecting Statistics, then scrolling down to "Hit Ratio" (under the Gun Combat section) to see your shot accuracy percentage. Once you finish the game, the credits will roll and this trophy will pop once you return to the main menu.

If you finished the game without a good enough shot accuracy, there's also a quick way to obtain this trophy through loading Chapter 15 via chapter select and making your way to some invincible enemies that you can unload on after you navigate through the collapsing building, after firing at them enough time your accuracy will increase to your desired percent (above 70%), then you can quit out, load the Epilogue, and once you finish the Epilogue, that trophy should be yours. Take a look at the video below for a better visual on what to do.

Buggy: When starting a new game to do a playthrough for this trophy, sometimes your hit ratio might not reset from your previous playthrough. Be sure to check that your hit ratio has reset when you start a new game, if not then start another new game and it should reset at that point.

13.42%
Rare
Silver
This is a bit of tricky, but can be simple if you got to the Bridge in Chapter 8 in encounter select on Explorer difficulty.
Once you are in, go to the options menu and turn off lock-on aim in the accessibility menu (so you can easily get the headshot). Then, climb across the wall and wait for the enemy to be below you so you can press Square and do your stealth attack, walk up to the other two enemies not far from the first and shoot your weapon to get their attention. Beat up one of them and headshot the other one (you can use the bullet-time modifier if you want to). Use L2 to throw your dynamite at a group of enemies ahead of you. The trophy will pop a few seconds later.

Hitting a Brick Wall
Defeat 5 armored enemies with melee only
23.09%
Uncommon
Bronze
Armored enemies are the slow-moving enemies with helmets on, usually with a powerful machine gun, that are able to take a lot of hits before they die. If you don't defeat them only using melee through regular gameplay, then a good place to farm this trophy is in Chapter 10. Select Avery's Tower from encounter select and play on Explorer difficulty. The armored enemies are the two near the back with helmets on. The easiest way to defeat these guys is by getting on top of a block and jumping at them with the Cross button and then pressing Square to take their helmets off. You can then punch them until they are defeated with little difficulty. Restart the checkpoint and repeat this process another two times to get this trophy.

Peaceful Resolution
After being marooned, leave everyone alive until the Treasury
12.18%
Rare
Silver
While the trophy description is a little vague, it's basically saying kill no one throughout Chapter 13 & 14. Now, to be clear that doesn't mean you can't be seen, so if that does happen, just run and hide. You should also do this on Explorer difficulty to make life easier. This will unlock about a minute after the beginning of Chapter 15. If you need some visual help, check out the video below.

It should be noted that it's okay if Sam performs stealth take-downs on nearby enemies while you're in the process of hiding, that won't count against you, just so long as you (Nathan Drake) do not kill anyone.

Perform 10 combo buddy takedowns
50.11%
Common
Bronze
A combo buddy takedown is basically when an ally is holding an enemy and you defeat it, or when an enemy is holding you and an ally helps you, or you and an ally punch an enemy at least once.
There's a very good chance you'll get this from regular play, but in the case you don't, go to encounter select and do Laundry Fight from Chapter 2 on Light difficulty. Just go around, giving a punch to an enemy an ally is fighting and the trophy will eventually pop.

If you're hanging from a ledge and an enemy walks right up to you, you can grab and pull them off the ledge by pressing Square .
You may get this through regular gameplay but if not, then go to the Evasion encounter in Chapter 7 on any difficulty. Once you are there, climb to the left until you come to a guy who can easily be pulled over the ledge. Restart the checkpoint and repeat this process until the trophy pops.

Getting 1,000 kills in this game is definitely doable and you'll likely get this trophy while going for the Platinum Trophy.
To put it into perspective, one full playthrough should net you about 500 kills or more. If you don't have this trophy by the time you get the platinum, see SilverUnstoppable! for some help on a location where you can farm kills.

Your opportunity to get this trophy is right at the beginning of Chapter 11. Walk through the market area, and halfway through on the left side you should find two people selling apples, press Triangle to buy an apple and walk a few steps forward towards a man sitting against the wall with a lemur and press Triangle again to interact with it. I Accidentally All the Guns
Use every weapon in the game

There are 28 weapons in total and you have to get one kill with every weapon, the list of all the weapons and where you can get them are listed below. The first 21 guns can be given to yourself in the Bonus menu, while the last 7 weapons are chapter-specific. To quickly get kills with the first 21 weapons, go to the Ship Graveyard (Chapter 20) and Drawbridge (Chapter 10) encounters.

Below is a checklist of all the weapons available in the weapons bonus menu:
These are the locations of the remaining 7 weapons:
  1. Powder Keg: Ship Graveyard encounter, Chapter 20
  2. DShK: This is the machine gun carried by armored enemies - Ship Graveyard encounter, Chapter 20
  3. Explosive Barrel: The Tunnels encounter, Chapter 9
  4. Propane Tank: Bridge encounter, Chapter 8
  5. Turret: The Tunnels encounter, Chapter 9
  6. Grenade: Pretty much anywhere
  7. Dynamite: Bridge encounter, Chapter 8

Note: Some people have trouble getting the powder keg, propane tank, and/or the explosive barrel to count, so you'll want to try to get kills with all of these a second time to make sure they counted if the trophy isn't unlocking for you. It has been report that you have to shoot these while they're in midair for them to actually count - slow motion and lock-on assist will help you accomplish this.

This trophy is earned by knocking over all 16 cairns in Chapter 10 with your vehicle. Cairns are small structures of rocks that are stacked on top of each other. They're spread throughout the chapter so it's recommended to get them at the same time as getting the treasures. You'll need a visual guide for this one so check out the video below for all the locations.

Once you've solved the puzzle with the four zodiac symbols within the Clocktower, you'll need to climb up the outside of the Clocktower to reach the bell. Once you do, ignore it and keep climbing up to the very top of the tower. Once you finally reach the top, Nate will say the trophy name and it will unlock. Unfortunately there isn't a haystack to jump into at the base of the Clocktower.

This trophy is part of a puzzle in Chapter 9 where you'll have to rotate interlocked stone wheels with three crosses and a bucket.
As the positions of the bucket and the crosses are randomized, you will have to try your best with the knowledge of where each object needs to be to complete the puzzle.
The bucket is right at the top, the biggest cross is at the top of the bottom wheel, the white cross is on the left and the black cross is on the right.
It may take a few tries to figure out how to do it the best way, so if you mess up, restart the checkpoint to try again.

Best Score!
Beat the best score in the retro videogame
15.53%
Rare
Bronze
The retro video game in question is Crash Bandicoot and you'll be able to play this twice throughout the game. You'll have to get a score of 3,501 or more to get this trophy. Your first opportunity to get this trophy is during Chapter 4 but it's recommended that you go for this trophy the second time you play Crash Bandicoot (which is the Epilogue). It is much easier to get it this way as there are more opportunities for points. If you fail when doing it the second time, just use chapter select to try again.

Ultimately, if you just can't beat the high score, you can actually enable the Slow Motion gameplay modifier and it will actually work while playing Crash Bandicoot! Once you've finished the game once, you can enable it by going to the menu, select Extras, then Bonus, then Add-ons, and choose Game Play Modifiers. Once you're there, enable Slow Motion.

Marco Polo Returns!

This is only achievable in Chapter 12 when you're on the boat.
Head over to the left side of the area to come to some land with a sunken ship, park the boat near it and then jump it the water. The trophy will then pop a few seconds later. This is a reference to Uncharted 2 & 3 where Nate would say "Marco" when he entered a swimming pool.

If you haven't already, this is also a good time to get Bronze On Porpoise.

After exploring the Clocktower with Sully in Chapter 11, a cutscene will play and you'll both exit the tower. At this point, put your controller down. When the cutscene finishes, simply don't use the controller for 30 seconds and the trophy will unlock.
This is a reference to the E3 2015 live demo of the game where Drake wouldn't move due to technical difficulties, requring the demo to have to be reset.

Note: When the cutscene is playing, do not skip it, if you do, the trophy will not pop, meaning you will have to restart checkpoint or load an old save.

You can get this trophy in "Get to the Car" in Chapter 17 from encounter select on Explorer difficulty.
You'll just want to simply stealth your way through this encounter up to the point when you enter the vehicle. The trophy will unlock once the encounter has been complete.

This could take you several minutes, try to keep the speed of your boat about midway and if you're having any trouble, try a little further away from the islands and rocks in the deeper water. Once you have the dolphins following you though, the trophy will pop.

While this may sound a bit hard, it's actually quite easy. Load up The Duel from Chapter 22 in encounter select and play on Explorer difficulty. Once you're in, go to Bonuses in the pause menu and then to Game Play Modifiers and turn on slow motion. This, with the low difficulty will make this trophy a breeze, as you will be able to easily discern when to parry Rafe. It will unlock one you start swimming.

If you happen to fail and get slashed, simply pause the game and restart the checkpoint. There are several checkpoints during the sword fight and restarting to any of them won't count against you for this trophy.

The main trials are broken up into three main categories: Gear, Sidekick, and Mystical. All categories have a goal for the amount of money you need to reach by getting kills, reviving, and most importantly, doing what is related to that specific trial. For example, if your trial is titled "Grenade", you'll get bonus points for getting kills with the grenade. Be sure to read the directions when starting a trial to get exact information for anything else. When doing a trial, you'll notice treasures marked as gold icons on your map, if you pass any of those then you'll want to pick them up as they'll give you $200.

Note: Some preset loadouts such as Assault do not have Sidekicks, so you'll need to choose one that does.

Revive 10 Allies in Multiplayer

If an ally has been shot down (but not KO'd), you'll be able to go up to them and hold Triangle near them to revive them. If you choose the support loadout, you can throw RevivePak's at downed ally's with L2 to get them up as this will also count towards this trophy.

An easy way to get this trophy is to repeat the "RevivePak" Trial until you've obtained this trophy.

Edit: Players have been reporting that this trophy is not popping after following the above instructions. If you are struggling with this trophy, here are some suggestions:
  • It seems to be that this trophy will only pop if you revive 10 allies in an online match, and not in the offline Trials. Thanks Fanatico1981 for the tip!
  • It has also been suggested that an ally has to revive you, rather than you reviving an ally. The player who used this technique got it in the "Saviour" Trial. Thanks return__null for the tip!
