• Huawei has opened its R&D; center in Kyiv, reported liga.net. Huawei currently employs more than 450 staff members across the country. At the beginning of this year, the company launched its first service center in Ukraine.
• German state bank KfW will provide a loan amounting to 52 million euros to construct social housing for Ukraine’s internal refugees, uawire.org reported. The Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons and KfW agreed on the terms of the program’s implementation.
• Ukraine's next choice of central bank governor must be of high professional quality and independence, the International Monetary Fund's country representative said Monday, according to Reuters.
• Ukraine needs foreign inputs to retain its macroeconomic stability, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Ukrinform reported.
• Ukraine exported roughly 33.1 million tons of grains in the 2016/17 season by March 28, or 9% more than a year ago (30.3 million tons ), reported UkrAgroConsult. The exports included 14.5 MMT of wheat (12.8 MMT in MY 2015/16), 13.6 MMT of corn (13.3 MMT) and about 4.78 MMT of barley (4 MMT).
• Naftogaz Ukrainy, PJSC Ukrtransgaz, Snam (Italy) and Eustream (Slovakia) have signed a memorandum of understanding to study cooperating to use and develop Ukraine's gas transportation system, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
• Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Ihor Bilous has resigned, planning to return to investment business, Interfax-Ukraine reported. Although no major privatizations took place on his watch, Bilous said he and his team implemented international standards of privatization.
• Industrial prices in Ukraine in March 2017 grew by 3.5%, while in January they rose by 3.1% and in January they fell by 0.3%, the State Statistics Service reported. The main reason of the increase last month was the rise in the prices of metal ore by 10.8%, and the cost of services to supply electricity and gas by 8.7%.
• Ambassadors of G7 countries support reform of health care in Ukraine and hope Ukrainian politicians will implement reforms in other sectors. This was stated by the ambassadors and published on Monday, Ukrinform reported.
• Ukraine and Argentina want to cooperate in livestock farming, winegrowing and winemaking, scientific and technological development, and create a logistics center and agrarian cooperatives, according to Olga Trofimtseva, Ukraine’s Agrarian Policy and Food Deputy Minister for European Integration.
