National Bank of Ukraine chief Valeria Gontareva hopes that Ukraine will sign a memorandum with the IMF for the next bailout payment of about $1 billion in a few days, Bloomberg reported.

The Pavlograd Industrial Park, the largest in Ukraine, has opened in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Novoe Vremya reported. The 250-hectare facility will help create about 5,000 jobs and attract $370 million worth of development to the area.

A state of emergency is looming in Ukraine's energy sector as anthracite stocks in the warehouses of thermal power plants have shrunk to the point where they can support operations for 40 days, according to Ukrenergo.

About 70 percent of the funding provided by a European Investment Bank agricultural credit program will go to small and medium-sized businesses, according to Ukrinform. The initial amount of $400 million from the EIB will be supplemented with another $400 million from Ukrainian banks taking part in the program.

State-owned mail and package delivery service Ukrposhta will become a public joint stock company sometime before March 1 Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuri Lavrenyuk said at a press conference Monday, Unian reported. The company employs about 76,000 people and in 2015 recorded a profit of nearly $2 million.

Ukraine is suing Russia at the World Trade Organization over the ongoing transit restriction of Ukrainian goods. Since the limitations were implemented in early 2016, the volume of exports from Ukraine to Central and East Asia have dropped almost 40 percent from the 2015 volume, resulting in losses of about $400 million.

Ukrainian losses from African swine fever amount to roughly $7.3 million since 2012, Novoe Vremya reported, citing Agropolit. So far in 2017, Ukraine has recorded 33 cases of the disease.

The National Bank of Ukraine on Monday began stress tests for 37 banks that have not yet passed them, Interfax Ukraine reported. The testing will be done in two stages and is expected to be complete Aug. 1.

Ukrainian firm Motor Sich was chosen to build the turbocharged engine for a new helicopter being produced jointly by Russia and China, Novoe Vremya reported.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and his Moldovan counterpart, Pavel Filip, signed a road map for Ukrainian-Moldovan cooperation in 2017, Ukrinform reported. Also, Moldova banned poultry shipments from Ukraine because of avian flu, Unian reported.

Polish company LIMBA has designed plans to build a solid waste recycling plant in the Zakarpattia region, Ukrinform reported.
