Shruthi’s 100th film
SS
The sob-queen of Kannada cinema Shruthi is facing the arc lights after a hiatus.
Shruthi, equally adept in doing comedies was last seen in Gattimela opposite her real-life husband-director S Mahendar. Incidentally, she was one of the producers of the film. These days, it is Shruthi’s daughter, one-year-old Mili alias Gowri, who is hogging away the actress’ attention.
Shruthi is close to crossing another important milestone in her career. She is acting in her 100th film as a devout wife in Jayashri Devi’s film Navashakti Vaibhava. Shruthi is also acting in Gowdru as Ambarish’s sister which is being directed by her husband Mahendar. Says she, “I am happy that my 100th film will be a devotional film dedicated to the Goddesses of Karnataka. It is a new beginning for me.”
