SC/ST welfare committee of Kudligi taluk to meet on Nov 22



The committee for SC/ST welfare will meet on November 22, in the premises of Taluk Panchayat office here and discuss issues relating to SC/ST welfare in the taluk. Stated Lakshmana Gante, Social Welfare Officer here.

All the official heads of the taluk and leaders of various Dalit organisations are invited specially to the meeting.

Tahsildar Palaksha Gouda who is chair person of the committee will preside.
To review safe-garuding the property and life of SC/STs in the taluk, atrocities on SC/STs in the taluk. So far and relief measures taken will also come up for discussion.

Measures to prevent untouchability and to hold Social Awareness programmes and Symposia in the taluk and such other issues will be discussed.

SPORTS MEET: In the recent district level sports meet the following students have secured individual prizes, informed Mr S. Gundurao Principal, local Government Composite Junior College here.

M. Chandrappa who has secured 2n place in 800 mtrs running has been qualified for State leve meet. M. Dada Khalandar, K.R. Rudresh and S.K. Pratap have secured 3rd places in hammer throw, high jump and hammer throw respectively. The Principal and the college staff have appreciated the students.
