Hallux valgus

Hallux valgus is a condition in which the transverse arch of foot is flattened. This leads to forefoot enlargement and a vagus position of the big toe resulting in a serious foot deformity. The condition occurs more commonly in women due to a weaker system of foot joint ligaments and capsules.
The most common causes of hallux valgus include:

• tight shoes,
• high-heeled shoes,
• narrow-toed shoes,
• obesity,
• prevalence of standing position in daily life

Solution:
Corrective insoles or surgical correction of the heel bone
