Structural Funds: eligible areas and allocation of resources (decisions 2000-2006)
Following adoption by the Council of the main regulation on the Structural Funds, the Cohesion Fund and the Instrument for Structural Policies for Pre-Accession, the European Commission has taken a series of decisions intended to get preparation of assistance for the 2000-2006 period underway.

Structural Funds
Based on the criteria set down in the general regulation on the Structural Funds, the Commission
has drawn up a list of regions eligible under Objective 1 and has negotiated the national lists of
regions eligible under Objective 2 with the Member States.
